An interview is generally not conducted by USCIS subsequent to an I-526 filing.
No interview is required at the I-526 stage. After the I-526 is approved, if the applicant is in the U.S. in valid nonimmigrant status, the applicant may file for I-485 to adjust his or her status to conditional lawful permanent resident. No interview is required in most cases. If the applicant is outside of the U.S., then the file will be sent from the USCIS to the National Visa Center ("NVC") for immigrant visa processing and interview at the U.S. embassy or consulate in the applicant's home country.
