The approval of the I-526 Petition allows you to obtain Conditional Permanent Residency (a Conditional Green Card), which can be converted to a "full" Green Card in two years. During this time you must comply with the conditions for being a permanent resident (time spent in the U.S., paying taxes, etc.). This period of time can be counted toward a later application for Citizenship, which itself requires a certain time to be in the U.S., and trips outside the U.S. to be of a certain length or shorter.
Preparing for the process and travel is best served by retaining qualified and experienced EB5 counsel, like the attorneys at our law firm.
