John C. Akbulut focuses his practice on business immigration and compliance within the Turkish community. Being one of the first and most well known Turkish attorneys in the United States, Mr. Akbulut has been practicing immigration law from his office in New York since 1981. He has represented clients from various parts of the world including the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and a majority from Turkey. Additionally, he is involved with various human resources departments on I-9 employment verification matters, H-1B, LCA compliance, immigrant visa matters including students, trainees, professionals, managers and executives, artists and entertainers, treaty investors and traders, persons of extraordinary ability and immigrant investors. Mr. Akbulut has extensive experience working on EB-5 immigrant investor matters. He regularly works with developers across a variety of industries, as well as private equity funds on developing new projects that qualify for EB-5 investments.
