BIO

Ms. Yang was born in Hong Kong and moved to the United States with her family at the age of six. She began her legal career during college at UC Berkeley, working for Bond, Gamma & Associates, a medical malpractice firm in Berkeley, California. After graduating from college, Ms. Yang worked as a paralegal for Weil, Gotshal, & Manges, LLP, focusing on patent litigation in the Silicon Valley. From those experiences, Ms. Yang gained insight into the judicial process and decided to further her knowledge of law by attending law school.

In 2001, Ms. Yang enrolled in Golden Gate University School of Law and accelerated her studies by graduating in just two and a half years. As a law student, Ms. Yang traveled to Beijing, China, and participated in a study abroad program at Beijing University which focused on comparative international law. Ms. Yang also externed at the Beijing Kangda Law Firm in China, which broadened her knowledge of Chinese comparative law and helped her gain a deeper understanding of the practice of law in China.

After graduation, Ms. Yang practiced in the areas of business litigation, estate planning, and employment-based immigration at a Los Angeles law firm for four years before joining Chang & Coté.
 

杨律师出生于香港，六岁时随家人移民至美国南加州。曾就读于着名的 加州大学伯克利分校，其间为专精于医疗侵权案件的Bond, Gamma & Associates律师事务所工作，大学毕业后供职于擅长专利诉讼的Weil,Gotshal & Manges 律师事务所。这些经历不仅使杨律师熟识司法程序，也激励了他重返法学院进行进一步深造的决心。

2001年杨律师入读金门大学法学院，在两年半的时间内以优秀的成绩提前获得法律博士学位。她曾到中国参加北京大学的海外留学生互换计划，学习比较法和国际法，同时在北京康达律师事务所实习工作。在此期间，她较为广泛的接触和了解了中国的法律状况。

在加入美国诚德律师事务所之前，杨律师曾在洛杉矶的一间律师行工作，处理与移民相关的商业、财产规划和雇佣法律事务。为其将来成为一名专精移民的律师打下了坚实的基础。
