Michael A. Harris, Esq.
Mr. Harris represents immigration clients throughout the United States and world. His emergence into the field of Immigration began in the year 2000, after he graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and English at the University of Florida (UF), and he then went to work for a board certified immigration attorney who served the UF community. During this time he was introduced to the core concepts of immigration law and procedure. Further, after 9/11, he was able to study how the U.S. Immigration system was reorganized and transformed. During law school, Mr. Harris (who grew up in Miami Beach, FL) returned to South Florida and became highly involved with business immigration and investment-based immigration matters for Fortune 500 companies, world-leading financial institutions, highly rated business professionals and executives, high net worth investors, as well as acclaimed artists. Mr. Harris pursued his legal career and studies as a result of deep fascination with the U.S. government and political system, as well as due to his political science studies for two years in Washington, D.C. at the George Washington University. In 2007, Mr. Harris earned his law degree from Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Some of Mr. Harris' experience in EB-5 immigration and other investment-based immigration matters has involved the following:
Mr. Harris has also been involved in numerous business immigration matters for executives, acclaimed artists, athletes, academic professors, as well global companies which employ thousands of workers worldwide. He also has represented many families in matters for U.S. citizens who wish to bring loved ones to the U.S., who are facing deportation from the country, or are in need of representation because they have been abused by a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Mr. Harris' devotion to Immigration and Nationality Law matters also has shown that he is willing to fight for all types of clientele, including deportation clients facing detention or removal proceedings. He has achieved success for his deportation clients such as obtaining their release from detention centers, cancelling their deportation, and other forms of relief. These diverse immigration experiences have been very important in allowing Mr. Harris to effectively represent his immigration clients as even an EB-5 investor may face difficulties with the USCIS aside from their maintenance of EB-5 status.
