John Roth Is unique among immigration lawyers in that his business experience is just as deep as his legal experience. in addition to being a 1983 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and 28 years of attorney experience, he is also a 1983 graduate of the Wharton School of Finance, and has extensive experience managing startup businesses both in the U.S. and overseas.
A member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 1995, John began to increasingly focus his immigration law practice on the EB-5 visa field in early 2008. At that time, there where only 24 approved regional centers, and only a handful of them were active. Seeing a need for professional, independent advice to help EB-5 investors select a suitable regional center, in 2010 he passed the rigorous Series 7 and Series 63 exams to become an SEC licensed and registered representative of a broker-dealer firm . He is still the only attorney or investor advisor in the EB-5 field to have obtained an SEC license for advising investors. He is an active EB-5 visa practitioner and has also published articles about securities law as it relates to the EB-5 visa field. In addition, he owns and manages the consulting firm EB-5 Analytics (http://edbduediligence.com) which provides EB-5 investors with carefully researched profiles of EB 5-regional centers and their projects.. His opinions on regional center due diligence are in high demand from both investors and EB-5 industry professionals, and he has been asked to speak at several industry events on the subject of EB-5 project due diligence.
