Mr. Sarchet spent three years at Trenwith Group (a subsidiary of BDO Seidman LLP) and six years at KPMG LLP performing valuations. Mr. Sarchet has performed valuations for Korean and Japanese companies, as well as for major multinational corporations headquartered in Silicon Valley area of Northern California.
Mr. Sarchet’s entry into finance and valuation in 2000 represented a career change for him after spending seventeen years as a software engineer and engineering manager in the semiconductor equipment, software, and aerospace industries.
Education
Mr. Sarchet earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Iowa. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley.

He has performed over seventy valuations of companies and intangible assets totaling over $15 billion.
He has valued such assets as developed and in-process technologies, cross-licensing agreements, distribution agreements, customer relationships, patents, trademarks and trade names, and other intellectual property. He focuses particularly in the semiconductor, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, networking, optical networking, software, and biotechnology industries.
Previous Experience
Prior to joining Berger/Lewis, Mr. Sarchet spent three years at Trenwith Group, LLC, a subsidiary of BDO Seidman, LLP, and six years at KPMG LLP / BearingPoint in Silicon Valley where he had primary responsibility for valuing the intangible assets of high technology companies. Prior to joining KPMG in 2000, Mr. Sarchet, spent seventeen years in engineering and engineering management in the aerospace, signal and communications intelligence, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and embedded real-time software industries.
Mr. Sarchet’s previous employers include Radix Technologies, Novellus Systems, Lam Research, Wind River Systems (formerly Integrated Systems, Inc.), Boeing Military Airplane Company, Ford Aerospace, and the NASA Ames research facility in Mountain View, California. Mr. Sarchet’s role at these companies was a combination of managing technology development, customer support, marketing, and software development.

Mr. Sarchet holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Iowa, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa, majoring in mathematics and general science.
