"I expect you guys to be demanding and thorough," George "Skip" Ahern, Jr. said to Billings City Council on Monday.
The discussion of the transformational One Big Sky Center was the first of what will likely be many for the city.
Ahern promised the council honesty and transparency through the process, that “the numbers would be an open book.”
He hoped the council would hear from him and his two fellow developers of MontDevCo -- Greg Tatham and M. Burke McHugh -- and agree to a pre-development agreement of the public/private endeavor.
Several minutes later, longtime financial investment adviser and Montana’s first director of commerce Gary Buchanan of Buchanan Capital LLC in downtown Billings once again expressed concerns of the city’s “due diligence” prior to Monday’s meeting.
